3. Reservations and Payments
- Reservations can be made via our website, over the phone, or directly at our Bearsden office. A deposit may be necessary to confirm your booking. The total payment and a security deposit are usually required at the time of vehicle pickup. All prices are quoted in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable. We accept major credit and debit cards, with secure processing through established payment providers.
Vehicle Pickup and Drop-off
- At the time of vehicle collection in Bearsden, conduct a thorough inspection and report any pre-existing damage without delay. A vehicle condition report will be completed and signed to document the state of the car. Cancellation and amendment policies differ based on the type of booking and the notice given. For precise information, please consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement. Late cancellations or failure to show may incur additional charges.
7. Restricted Activities
Prohibited vehicle uses:
- Use of the vehicle for illegal activities is prohibited. This includes racing, rallying, off-roading, or engaging in any hazardous driving practices. Transporting dangerous materials or sub-letting the vehicle to others is not allowed. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, exceeding passenger or weight limits, and traveling outside of designated geographical boundaries without prior approval are also strictly forbidden.
Breach of these terms may lead to rental cancellation and extra fees.
8. Liability Limitations
To the fullest extent allowed by English and Welsh law, Car Hire Bearsden is not responsible for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business, resulting from your use of our services. Our liability for any claims will not exceed the total amount you paid for the rental in the last 12 months. This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury due to negligence or fraud.
9. Local Legal Framework
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the relevant courts.
